Charles Moulton is a visual artist and Internationally recognized choreographer. He has created dances on Baryshnikov’s White Oak Project, The Joffrey Ballet, and many companies in the US and abroad. He is a Guggenheim Award winner, a Dorothy Chandler Arts Achievement winner and co-founder of Performance Space 122 in lower Manhattan. He began his career dancing with Merce Cunningham and is currently Co-Artistic Director of Garrett Moulton Productions in San Francisco.“ After retiring as a performer I became interested in finding a new way of being inside the creative experience. I was invited to the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in 2000 where, without any previous training, I began drawing. Visual work quickly became a daily practice. I approached it with tools and working methods developed over 25 years as a professional dancer and choreographer. “
